![]() Python is a programming language first introduced on February 20, 1991. They often download the Arduino IDE (Integrated Development Environment) and learn the programming language C++ to code. ![]() Typically, most users wouldn’t turn to Python as their go-to programming language, especially beginners. pySerial basically establishes a connection between your Arduino board and your Python code. This process can be long and tedious because it requires the use of other software tools like pySerial. You can program with Python and upload the code to your Arduino board but not directly. Consequently, I wonder: Can Arduino Run Python? However, I’ve never really given much thought to using a programming language besides C++ until now. I’ve written an in-depth on Arduino IDE alternatives with the associated pros and cons so you can make the decision yourself! Of course, I’ve explored other IDE alternatives like Visual Studio Code, Atom, and Eclipse and noticed that I can use them to replace the Arduino IDE itself. Sometimes, the Arduino IDE can feel restrictive because, unlike other IDEs, the Arduino IDE only works with Arduino and C++. They’re pretty simple to use, and not many people give them a second thought. For many Arduino users, including myself, we all started out with the Arduino IDE (Integrated Development Environment) and the C++ programming language.
