![]() Yes, leaderboards were nice, but not when they lock the damn game up. Compare that to Game Room where you only had a select number of publishers, charging a standard price, but even that might not have been worth it much of the time, on an emulation platform that is.not perfect, to say the least. With Mame, you have access to virtually any, and every arcade game to exist, on a free platform, with (largely) perfect emulation driving it, with extra features like save states, debug menu's, and infinite quarters to play. Older (previously generation) stuff should be allowed to be either pirated, or have a much more legalized, and all-encompassing way of dealing with the games. But, stores like Best Buy or Gamestop write games like that off as a loss, after 3 or 4 years sitting on a shelf. If you can ever manage to find an in-store NEW copy of Bomberman: Act Zero, and plunk 20$ on it, who's that money going to? Konami? Maybe? It damn sure isn't going to Hudson. Whether or not you can get the game you want in a store (as a new copy), or in a store at all? Yes, if you buy Gears of War 3 when it comes out, new, that goes to the developer.
